Yup. More time to build MPH on your way to the traps.
I noticed people aren't mentioning why they no longer have six speeds or no longer drag race. After blowing up a clutch, differential, and transmission I said screw it and did an auto conversion.
I'd also never run a drag radial again at the track - too much carnage compared to ET Streets.

The difference between a low 11 and a mid 10 can be a few little mistakes where the car gets out of the powerband. With a S/C car there is less room for error for it to run its potential based on rwhp dyno numbers.
Don't try for the whole ball of wax right out of the gate. You really should run a slick like an et street 26x11.5x16 with bias ply up front and start off at a lower rpm on the launch with the tires aired up more than usual. Get the 60' in the 1.5x's and with 3 solid shifts you're in the mid 10's. If you post some video we can give you tips. Have fun with it.

Well I have ran a best now of 11.91 with bolt ons on 99 frc, I have done a 1.60 60 with my mt ER streets gonna make a few more fall passes with my gto spares and see if I can get a bit lower but then it's time for a new motor or blower but trying to decide which to go with. Still doing some research
Alot of seat time is they key. That's going to help you become a better driver at the strip, learn what the car wants, and tweek accordingly.

It's all in the 60'. 130mph is a high 10 in the 1/4 with a 1.7 or 1.8 60ft.

Even more so with higher hp cars. Getting a decent 60' but then
having to back-peddle due to lighting up the tires at the to of 1st or
on the 1-2 shift can kill a run. Add ~5.8 seconds to your 330' time
if you are pushing 650-700hp and that should hit fairly close to your
1/4 mile ET. Whether that 330' time is a 4.20 or a 5.50 is what will
shape your results.
YMMV,
Wayne

I've got A&A v3si, 3.8 pulley, high stall converter, built trans, 3.15 rear with 460RWHP (tune is very conservative) and I've done 11.668 @ 115.83 mph. Key is 60' time... that run was 1.663 seconds for 60'. You need sticky tires, ET Street Radials or better. I run on 17" z06 wheels. MPH and everything after 60' is just about shifting for manual, or keeping it to floor in auto and Horse Power!

Go fast! Goal would be a streetable car that I can run tens and trap high 120's and mid tens eventually in 130's with seat time. As posted before I have gone 11'9's at 115 and was going to get a cam and then eventually get heads, fast ect but realized the car for the most part would never deliver that kind of results with a LS1 H/C/I, I know there are a few out there doing such and I understand seat time, first time I ran my FRC I was mid 12's did nothing different except a MGW shifter and tires and over 2 years and dropped in the high 11's. What I dont want is to spend 7grand + on a H/C/I and run high tens and be stuck there and have to really pound the car to get there. So I began researching motors, such as 402, ls3 based 416 or 427 but initial cost is more than I can afford. So plan would be do be able to spend 6-7 grand now and have a car capable of 10's and have room to grow down the road with out wasted money. Sorry for the long post.

1700 that day. I have some shift issues 2 to 3rd, but every calculator says around 440 rwhp so not far off. I need to weight my car and see where I'm at for sure. Everything I know says you are trapping higher then your HP number, unless you've really lightened up the car (to like 2800 pounds). If you want to discuss more.. go over to my thread in performance results so we can keep this thread on topic.
