That is a LOT of HP you are trying to put to the ground, I was going to recommend my set I have for sale:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-p...drag-pack.html

But you still may not be able to come out full pwr.

Mickeys work best for me too....currently running ET Street radials, hook up 90% of the time at the track

Can you elaborate on no traction?

If you mean no traction in 1st and 2nd, that's typical at your power level. I'm on a M/T 305/35/18 and I can only get decent traction on good concrete surfaces or a well prepped drag strip.

The set of DR's that I have is a little old, so I'm probably going to buy one more set and see if it helps at all. Ideally, if someone made a 305mm 18" drag radial that was 27" to 27.5" it would help to bridge the gap to 900 rwhp.

At the level you are reaching, most people go to a 16" or 17" wheel and the appropriate 27" to 28" tall drag radial. It works great in a straight line, but begins to kill the handling characteristics of the car.

You are either going to have to learn to control the throttle to control the wheelspin or go with a taller tire and sacrifice handling.

There is the 345/35/18 that is 27.5" tall, but it may require wider fenders or a minitub and the appropriate custom wheel offset.

Edit: I just found a 285/40/18 NT05 that may work. I haven't tried out Nitto in a long time. I wish M/T would make a 295/40/18.

I don't buy it. My turbos hit a lot harder than a centrifugal supercharger and I hook up just fine with Nitto drag radials on the street. What air pressure are you running in the DRs? Are you heating them first before you stand on it? The peddle on the right isn't just an on/off switch. Hint hint.

I guess you are running the NT05's? What size are they and how much rwhp are you making?

I run 18 psi hot for maximum traction. I had good success at up to 650 rwhp with the M/T 305's. This was at 14.6 # of boost. At 17# of boost, they seem to be having a little trouble in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd at WOT.

I use the throttle to control traction, but it means that full power isn't being applied. I'm trying to find a way to hook more power.

I don't recall the number. It used to be the 555DR, but I think the numbers changed when I picked up my last set.
Under 20 psi of air.
Car makes north of 700 at the tire.
Traction is a matter of modulating the throttle.
If you want to stand on the gas coming off the trans brake then you need race tires on a prep'd track.
Just my .02.

A 305 Toyo R888 will hold that power just fine. Great tires.

we have tried MANY MANY different DRs and the ones that work the best on all our cars is the NITTO NTO5 DRs "00" tread-wear very sticks tire. MT are great tires but i would pick the NTO5s over them anyday

^^^^Really!!!??? The NT05s work better for the C5's than the Mickeys? I had NT05s on my TA and they didn't hook worth crap. The Mickey et streets ar also better in rain now since they. Hanged the tread design.
