PSC-1 supercharger belt slip
new 383 stroker LS1 with procharger psc1 original 3.85 pulley produced 6# boost at 6000 rpm.
changed to 3.6 pulley to increase boost but result was maximum 5# boost at 6000 rpm.
suspect now getting belt slip at high rpm using same serpintine belt.
WHAT can we do to keep 6-rib belt, stop slippage and not have to go to expensive 8-rib ($1000.00) format? HELP!

What bracket do you have? The Procharger factory bracket? If you get rid of that and replace it with a A&A bracket, it will help tremendously.
Let me know if you don't have one and are interested in getting one and I'll happily take care of you.

To check (quick check) if it is slipping, pull the top bolt out of the alternator, pry it back a little, and slide the bolt back in with the alternator leaning against it. It puts a bit more tension on the belt.

Once a belt slips it isn't any good because it will become glazed. Get rid of it and clean the SC and crank pulleys. I used a Goodyear Gatorback belt. It is more flexible and seems to grab better when cold.

Gotta be the bracket. I use A@A, Gates Green Stripe, wash new belt with hot soapy water to get rid of conditioners and clean pulleys. 3.0 pulley-6rib. Bought 3 belts before i got one that wraps all the way, but its done. BOV needs to be before the intercooler so it wont start slipping on the shift, closer to the blower the better. Also a BIG intake inlet helps also so that the blower don't have vacuum on the inlet side. I don't like the green belts either, they seem plastic and not rubber.good luck.
