Bang for the buck vs high HP 4L60 trany that will hold does not go hand in hand. You can buy all the parts used and send the trans in for overhaul/upgrade to RPM. Buy the auto controller or the pigtail harness from RPM to control the trans.

I am interested as well but skeptical as i will not be racing too much, may be car never see the track, i may see though....lol. If i ever wanted to see drag....than i will seriously consider this mod.

Here is a great PM i recieved from BudhahZ06:

hi there

Was just gonna let ya in on my details of the auto swap. I did this on a very strict budget. What I did was buy basically everything I needed from an auto car. Trans, torque tube, both bell housings, flex plate, shifter, supposed to get lines but he didn't send them so I made my own. That was $600 for all of that. And $200 for shipping it to me. I bought a used 3400 stall for $275. And I also had the trans built. Bout $500-700 in parts and $400-500 in labor. And i also used a stand alone controller for the tranny. It was $500. I wish i wouldve done full manual and not even need the controller. But i do like the auto shifting. Then nick knack stuff like fluids and gaskets, etc. You have to buy a plate/seal to go between trans and diff. Bout $90 from dealer. It would be easier to drop the whole drivetrain down to do the swap because of the bellhousing on the engine. And I have c6 z06/zr1 manifolds and pipes, and they wouldnt fit around the auto with the stock mufflers. I made some cheap duals with turn downs for now. I really love the automatic. Just everything about it. Lmk if you have any questions!

I've got my entire auto swap for sale as a package. I haven't even listed it on the FS section yet.

Flex plate, coupler, tt, SS4000 yank, 4L60E built by ACE in TX...

Wiring harness, RPM conversion harness, all cables, brackets, brake pedal, shifter...

Everything for $3000
