Exhaust note changes after pull through 2nd and 3rd
I have an 01 Z06, forged rods and pistons, and a small cam which I don't know the specs. A&A T-trim with meth injection, and stock exhaust and manifolds. I just had all this done 2 months ago and have been trying to be nice to it. It made 612rwhp on a mustang dyno.
When I pull through 2nd and 3rd, then let off, the exhaust tone changes dramatically. The car feels loaded up if I try to accelerate, but the exhaust seems much louder. after cruising along for a few minutes, it goes away. It does this 99% of the time. had one case where I pulled through 3rd and it did not do this.
I thought the cats might be letting go, but I know that they usually remain a problem, and that is not the case. It runs fine after it goes through this process and settles down again.
Any ideas on what to check? Could the meth be hanging on too long?
I need to get some gauges in the car now and I would like to put a light on the meth kit to know when it is active and inactive.

Melting Slicks
Hmm..easy sign for cats is either lack or performance or GLITTER in the tail pipes. Vehicle would run horribly usually but,..could dislodge and seem fine, at times.
Not a an of meth...never was, for many reasons but, mostly for like my boss's reason,..which is a meth pump failure, costing him a motor/piston(at best).
As far as engine noise, and change...hmmmmmmmmmm..sounds like it tune related when you talk about loading and unloading but,..difficult for "ME" to give any info without being there.
Maybe someone else can chime in...

ISIS SUCKS FAT CHOAD
Bill, do you have a way to log the car suck as HP tuners?
What meth system do you have? Do you run 100% meth?
I've learned to never assume that its a tuning problem.
Is the cam stock?
Who tuned it?

The meth is 100%, and I believe it is a cooling mist trunk mount system.
It was tuned and built by Ryne at CMS. As for the cam, it is not stock, it is on the smaller side since I was doing a built for most power, and pass CA emissions without any BS.
