First you need to write your .cfg file once to the blackbox, so it knows what parameters to log. Open the HPT Scanner and goto: Scan > MVPI Pro data logging.
After you write the .cfg, then you can datalog anytime using the blackbox. Just hold the button a couple seconds until the record light goes red. Use the same Scanner menu to read/erase the files afterwards. I've logged a whole hour of data and wasn't full yet.
Thank-you again.
When I was reviewing my logs on Sunday I noticed the car leaned out under boost. Turned out the meth pump is toast. Glad I had the boost controller turned off.

Had a similar issue. (Well in that my meth system wasn't working) After reviewing my logs I noticed the IAT's went dripping. Caused me to start checking the meth system. Had a broke ground wire. Fixed it and all was good. Then my wideband took a dump. Haha.
I have Pro but never knew how to use the remote logger feature. I love logging but hate having to throw the laptop in there every time I decide to make a hit.. Where as I always have the HPT cord/black box in the car..
I'll have to learn how to do this.
I use Innovate LM1/LMA3 aux box combos on both my turbo bike and my 71'.. They are always in the car/bike and always ready to log... Just hit the button anytime and it starts.. It logs 44 mins of data. Works great. Way easier to setup and config then HPT and their stupid pid/inputs etc etc and the other crap you have to "create".
My next question - is it possible to relocate the OBDII port (or add a second one) so there isn't a cable exposed and easily knocked loose when driving?

I too have wondered this. Wanted to do a hard install of a HPT cable so I can easily remove the interface for use on other cars. Plus I don't like the cable hanging down in the way of my legs.
