Default Desired CR for boost?

I would like to know where most of you guys running between 15-18 psi, have your motors set up at CR wise? My build is coming together, and looks like I am going to end up with a 9.7-1 CR. I had wanted it somewhere between 9.8-1 and 10.0-1, as this car will see more highway use and highway pulls. I am being told I am in a great spot. I am running a CNC, fully ported 317 head. I had debated on a aftermarket head or even a CNC'd 243, but then I would have over shot and had too high a CR than desired.
Any input is appreciated.

Thanks for the response.
I had did a search and found that thread. I am running 100 meth, and fuel here is 93 octane. From most of the responses in that thread, a higher CR seems to be desired. Now I am on the fence, I kinda had a 9.8-1 lower side, worst case in my mind, and now looking at 9.7-1.
MAYBE I WILL JUST TURN UP THE BOOST!.........LOL.
Still open to opinions, thanks

FWIW I just bought an ECS built car. It's running stock LS1 compression (10.6 I think?) on a forged motor, 18lbs boost, 93, and meth.

93, 100% meth on half setting, 408 stroker, lots of boost, 10-1 comp. I tune with the meth at half so I can enjoy the car in places with crappy gas. You can always turn it up that way. When I built a new motor with a bigger cam and lower compression, I went down on the pulley and ended at the same boost. Buy a big blower.

Your compression is not low by any stretch of the imagination. Run it, be happy.
