IN case y’all don’t know what’s really impressive is that Jim drives this car daily so he Fabs stuff then puts her right back together so he can keep driving.

to you sir!

Jim, what block is that a gen 3 l33? I see it has the knock sensor location in the valley so I was curious if the bores are siamese or not. Looks like you used the texas speed 3.820" boost pistons with k1 rods and 3.622 k1 crank? That should be a stout piece, did you pin the mains or anything?

it is a gen III Block. Spot on with the pistons and rotating assembly. (nice pistons if I may say so myself I really like the design)

no pinned mains. Just arp studs.

It's a huge pain in the butt and is actually slowing everything down.

It's an LM4 block basically the same as an L33 block.

I believe it! I’ve been putting off taking my setup apart to clean everything one last time before the first start but I keep putting it off.

Yeah I have too much stuff competing for my time. I was planning on going to tx2k next weekend but I haven't even finished the down pipes...

Been a while since I had time to work on the car. All my spare time has been spent with my new CNC plasma table.
I did finally manage to fab up the downpipes. Still need to weld them up. Ran out of Argon on the final tack weld. I did take the time to 3d print some pipe fab tools similar to the ice engine works kits. That actually helped a bunch.

Progress is slow but the DP's are all welded. They need a bit of tweaking which hopefully I'll get to tomorrow.

New ac compressor setup allowing for more intake room. On to the final welds and assembly 😁

Geez, the rest of us were just catching up with our CTS-V setups, and you go and do this! Compressor looks like a Sanden, but I don't recognize the bracket. Very cool.

brackets are designed by someone on here. He's monitoring this thread. It is a sanden, and a small one too. It gave me an additional 3 to 4 inches clearance over the ctsv compressor. Gives a ton of extra space for the intake tube and coupler. I still need to figure out belt length on it and redo the ac lines. I'll post up once I do. Right now I'm ***** deep in finishing up the rest of the car so I can do a first fire this weekend.
