For compact oil drains...these work good, just chop off the threads and weld on a bit of 5/8" alloy tube

https://huronspeed.com/product/huron...nge-side-exit/

Or I'd have slotted the difficult end so you wouldnt need to fully undo that bolt.

I have fairly easy access to both inside bolts with a wrench. One of the big goals for this setup was to make maintenance easier than the last setup. So far it's much easier to work on.

It's definitely an important consideration when building anything.

Absolutely!

Todays progress so far:
Welded up the intakes and test fit. Then added one way check valves for the vacuum source on the pcv system.

Wow, I'd never seen those, pretty cool. I made this for my car since I don't have a TIG. Fits a 3/4" drain hose. Didn't think of slotting the end though, that's a good idea.

Jimbo, car is coming along great. Your fabrication looks really nice.

Thanks! Still learning, hopefully someday I'll be good enough to do it for a living.

Gave me a ton of room!

Test fitment and clocking the turbos.

Haven't visited this thread in too long. Really nice work! I love your custom engine mounts! I was looking at mine and how much material I needed to remove to gain good clearance and came up with the same idea of just rebuilding them. I hope your transmission is doing well.

Thanks Bret.
I'm gonna start making these on the plasma table soon. They'll be cheaper than hinson mounts too. Transmission is fine, diff is a little noisy. Gonna try some amsoil goodness in it and see if that helps.

Got a ton of cleanup to do but. It's almost wrapped up.

Painted the intakes. Also picked up some new k&n filters. Right now my Son is in town visiting or I'd already be tying this build up.

Decided to shorted the intakes for better access. Added a new radiator too.

Up and running. Wasn't prepared for how loud the external wastegates would be...
Time to get it cleaned up now.

What I found with mine, where they vent under the car is that I find them horrendously loud....but from outside the car, comments from others etc etc....they're really not loud at all.

Idk if I can live with them dumped. I like my car quiet. I will probably route them back into the downpipes.

I fully agree, but as mine isnt a daily I decided I'd live with it.

That said, I did DIY fab some small mufflers to try and dampen the noise a little from some aluminium tube for an outer shell and some 2" perforated tube for the inner.. Not really sure how much it quietened them though lol, they were only about 5" long.

Question, why did you not put the filters over the radiator like the early pipes were built for?
