Default What to expect from my ECS 2200 Build!

For the past few months I have been contemplating on what route I wanted to take my Z06 and after talking with Chris at ECS and Charlie at LSXperts I have decided to go with the ECS 2200 kit. I’ll be placing my order tomorrow and can’t wait to get started on it. I have also bought additional parts to go with it such as an Alky Meth kit, BTR valve springs and a pair of auto meter gauges “boost and wideband” . My goal for the car is to make around 750rwhp and be able to compete in the wannaGOFAST events along with the occasional drag strip visit.
My current setup is as follows:
Engine and Powertrain

* RPM Level 5 transmission with transmission cooler
* NLP Custom Cam 231-239 113
* 5/16 Magnum Pushrod 7.400
* AFR 215cc LSx cylinder head to NLP specs
* Hypertech 160 degree Powerstat
* ECS Trans-Diff Brace
* LPE oil cooler system
* DeWitts radiator
* JAZ oil breather tank
* SLP Underdrive Pulley C5 SFI approved 25%
* RPS Single clutch with Aluminum Flywheel
* Mahle LS13408798F04 Piston and Ring Powerpack
* NLP Billet Aluminum PCV Catch Can

Intake and exhaust

* Borla 3” exhaust, quad 4” tips
* LG Motorsport Headers
* Blackwing CF intake, LS3 throttle body, FAST manifold

My question for yall is there anything that I am missing? With my current setup what do yall predict the car making once everything is installed and tuned?

sounds good but you will need to ditch the SLP Underdrive Pulley C5 SFI approved 25% it will not drive a supercharger good most use overdrive balancers.

I dont know about rwhp but it should run low 10s easy

Your welcome Your going to love that ECS 2200 will be a beast for sure I really think if to put a small pulley on a 2200 on the dyno it would see 900 rwhp! that blower is big and you will have room to grow later but now it would break Chit on the street so keep it @ 750-800 rwhp until you want more you can get rods and crank turn up that blower to 1000 hp

sounds like in the right direction with the ECS kit..
Make sure those pistons are the 2618 material not the 4032
an innovators overdive crank pulley can get from ecs also
keep the 1 3/4 LG headers for huge low/mid end torque
make sure u get a dual meth kit for insurance

I'll agree with AC, get an Summit or IW balancer.

Also, save a few pennies for a rainy day fund. These cars at that power last 30 passes and 3000 miles or 500 passes and 50,000 miles. It's going to be fast for sure.

Direct drive? 8 rib, 10 rib, cog driven accessories?

Decide now so you do not waste any time or money in the future.

Thanks!!

That will be an awesome set up! I do suggest the meth and direct drive or something to handle the potential belt slip better at the high boost levels. Keep us updated!

I'll have to look into the piston material. Most likely I'll be going with the Innovators 8 rib Overdrive pulley

I've already found a meth kit and will be running a dual nozzle

Thanks! I knew I wanted an ECS kit but the hard part was picking what kit to go with. As like everyone else I have a budget and I am already pushing it.

Doug, I wanted to go with the full 8 rib set up but right now it's outside my budget. However I am thinking about getting the 8 rib overdrive balancer and running a 6 rib belt? Or should I just stay with running the 6 rib setup until I can full upgrade to the 8 rib setup?

You're going to have to pin the crank anyways so just go ahead and change the balancer.

Perhaps I missed it, but what are you doing for a fuel system?

It seems the consensus here is that for the kind of power you're looking to make, a return style would be prudent.

Along with a couple very large fuel pumps.

Change the balancer now. I went mid 9's on a 6 rib, with no belt problems. balancer finally went. ECS had the car for some other work and noticed it was shot...

Good choice on the 2200.! you will easily hit your goals.

Thanks for the heads up! From what I have read the 2200 is the way to go. Bad thing is my turner is booked for the next 3 weeks so i'll just be looking at that polished head unit sitting on my counter til then

Nice car, something to think about if the order has not left yet. We can cog the balancer now if your plans may include a direct drive system later. then you do not have to remove it later, just add the rest of the cog.

It won't effect the system in the time being.
