Default 6060 swap while adding C6 NPP exhaust

So I've got my RTK 6060 swapped in now. Working on the exhaust addition, NPP mufflers with 20k miles for $360. So far cutting the tub out wasn't to bad, thanks to Larry's C6 exhaust thread. There looks to be a little bit of clearance issue tucking the NPP muffler up high enough especially with the draw-tite hitch I have. The NPP mufflers clear the drw-tite bu tthe rear x-member angled sections push the muffler to close to the back inner frame rail wall. I'll probably end up cutting a notch out of the rear crossmember and reboxing it in. I might swing over to my dad's house and crawl under the C6 I built for him to see how much variation there is. Currently it's slow progress as work, the new gf (easy Jamie and Robert Miller), and this wonderful 30 degree and below weather isn't ideal. While I'm at it I'm running my oil return lines through the frame rails and above the engine cradle to my scavenge pump.

Tub cutout and mufflers not quite enough room

Usual sight to so many on here

another shot

Joey , I used the B&B fusion, it does not sit horizontal, and I think the cans are shorter.
Best of luck fitting those in there, it looks pretty tight, If there is a will there is a way !! Looks great so far

Well as updates go I ditched the NPP exhaust in favor of LG GT-4 catback. The NPP wouldve needed 2" cutout of the muffler body and maybe an inch out of the over axle pipe for clearance on my car.

well i now have LG GT-4 exhaust on a C5 with a Drawtite hitch even. i still need to finish the 3" Corsa x-pipe t0 2.5" downpipe transitions. Out of the box the LG exhaust is very nice and LIGHT, i was really surprised at the weight.

Mounted

i had to trim 1" initially off the left over axle pipe because it pushed the muffler out to far. After that I had to trim 5/8" off both over axle pipes to clear the hitch and give plenty of free movement.

I redid my UPP oil drain lines while I was at it

Good job! Looks great, a lot more work than the conventional way,
but it's nice to have something different. The factory C6 cans are just to long I guess. Probably the turbos will muffle some noise, so it shouldn't
be too loud.

I wouldn't think it would be loud. Should sound nice and healthy.

I almost expected a farm joke from you Jamie, but none the less I hope it does work out.

Larry, I just want to drive the car again

Looks good! Thanks for sharing a comprehensive look at the job! This is on my list for the next round of mods.

Yes, there's another round coming because that's who I am and that's what I do.
