Also Is it worth upgrading / spending much money on LS3 heads over the LS1 when your forced induction?
LSX376B weak link is the pistons, which are 4032 alloy versus 2618 and powdered metal rods, which I still do not understand why GM did this. This is why they limit it to 15 lbs, because of the glass parts in the motor. I would rather buy the LSX block and stuff it with good parts.

Sucks to hear...I went with a pretty simple combo. Ls6 block, stock crank, lunati rods, arp 2000 rod bolts, wiseco pistons (-3cc), c5r chain, ls7 lifters, blower cam, ported 243 with arp head studs and ls9 head gaskets. D1sc, meth, etc. Currently 715rwhp with plenty on the table with a bigger fuel system. Is your block toast?

I like it, sounds like a good recipe, I think the block is done, have't haven't the hole yet, i', assuming since it leaked out the oil. I'm assuming it's behind the starter. I'll have to dismantle.
So basing my decision on the block I find, leaning towards to aluminum 5.3 at this point.
