C6 Z06 differential cooler delete for C5
Was just curious if anyone knew if these two lines coming from the tranny are for the diff cooling and if so can I just plug them.
Also, can I just take the rear diff cover off and replace it with a non Z06 cover with no problems? Will it bolt right up?

the line on the trans is for the trans cooler, you can loop them or install a cooler... I chose to loop mine for now and made a line using -6an hose, the fittings in the trans are -6orb
to remove the diff cooler you can use a c5 rear cover and you will need two -6orb plugs, one for the driver side of the case and one for the bottom of the case that you will use to drain the fluid

When I spent the money on a tr6060...and the Z06 diff...I felt the urge to utilize the built in coolers,...just added heat exchangers. All that money invested...figured another 150-200 bucks to make it all work.....was a cheap insurance policy. I think everyone I see chooses not to use the coolers...other than the small added cost,...why don't people use them? Typically an external cooler will drop 30 or more degrees.

If I remember I will take a shot of the diff cooler I made for my TR6060 swap. The trans cooler line is just looped on mine currently until I find somewhere I like to mount a trans cooler.
