Love seeing all the different setups. I see some have shrouds, some don't. How many of you had cooling issues after installing intercooler? What temps do you see during normal and spirited driving?

Impressive. I have Dewitt's rad, SPAL fans, homemade air dam, no condenser, no shrouds and was 230 cruising in Texas ~100degree ambient.
Guess I need to copy someone's shroud design.

Melting Slicks
Never goes up during pulls.
Dewitt's cutdown rad, spal fans, 427 TT
Even sitting idle it never goes past 190.
When it's cooler out I have issues with it getting past 175-180 and it takes FOREVER to get it up there.

Only thing I can think of is my lack of shrouds and the extreme ambient conditions here. I think ajrothm is also in Houston, and seems to be having similar issues on hot days.
Building new shrouds now, hoping to try them out today.

On my ECS kit, and also the A&A kits, there is a long pipe pre blower so that the airfilter is way down behind the bumper. When I look at many of these photographs, it seems like many of you are shortening this pipe so that the airfilter is almost all the way up in the engine compartment. Why would you do that? Isn't it better to draw cool(er) air from below than hot air from engine compartment. Or is because of restriction in the piping? Enlighten me please :-)
