They added a belt between the 4 rib ac belt and the standard 6 rib belt.

The added belt between them drives the jackshaft.

I do have a 170a billet tech alternator if that matters... fwiw I checked an old log from a 1/2 mile event with the original a&a setup and it was still logging 13.90-14.2v at the top, I'm not sure if that is due to the alternator or not but the drive was still doing it's job... I do like getting the stress off the a/c side and having a super short drive belt with a manual tensioner on the new design though

thanks. one thing I have noticed is that my car does stuff at 1/2 mile it doesn't really do anywhere else since going WOT so long. it sounds like with the billetech though the alternator issue is solved, I don't think I've seen anyone with billetech reporting low voltage from belt slip, which makes sense to me. I would think the solution to all of this is actually just run any quality direct drive and go with billetech alternator, which helps the car in a ton of other ways too.

I'll have to send out my Innovator's West balancer to have the splines cut in it. Hopefully it doesn't take long. They're up in Kansas so shouldn't take long to get there and back.

Pretty sure this is only done for A&A.

Maybe so or maybe not. Check this thread and read posts #12 and #13. Looks like IW will swap shells for about $300 (sigh). Since I'm buying the kit from Andy, don't see why IW would give me any grief. Maybe I have to send it to A&A. Or maybe I can send to IW and A&A can call IW and have it done. My order from A&A hasn't arrived just yet.. I'll let ya know.

I'm sure if you talk to Andy or Josh they can work something out with you whether it be cutting your existing balancer or swapping shells... mine shipped straight from innovators so I doubt you would need to send it to a&a first
