YSI 3.33 Gates K080545HD green belt direct drive. Belt is noisy until good and warmed up - (15-20 mins of driving). Not belt squeal - just a loud belt. I have 1000-1500 miles of street driving and 8 hpde days on it. Belt still looks mint.

All pulleys were aligned - no other issues. I figured it was the ac or alt belt but when I hit the sc belt with a shot of brake clean it instantly got quiet for a few seconds.

I suspect maybe it is just the cold weather and the stiff HD belt is just loud? Wondering if anyone else has the problem?

Hi Joe, How are ya. Well, If its a brand new belt with the cold weather, they may do it. Mabey when the belt gets worn in little bit it will get better....Ill let ya know when Im ready for those injectors. Still laid off work..........Dan

My belt is noisy every now and again when it's cold normally goes away in about 45 seconds of idling. I slight chirp here and there and it's a tad louder I think it's just the cold weather and cold belt.

Could be the bearing in an idler too.

good pulleys....brand new belt... Thats normal when it is cold start same thing happen to mine brand new belt and pulleys just 1 month old ... The squeaky sound dissapear after a minute no to worry but Sometimes is annoying that noise although it is in a short period of time
