My tuner said valve seal came loose and retainer starting beating the seal which broke the rocker. I have very limited knowlwdge about engine internals. Any idea why this would happen and how to prevent it from happening again? The motor only has 24k miles but we already ordered forged internals expecting it to be worse so we are going to go ahead and rebuild while its out. Was only at 650rwhp when this happened and under 500 miles of it being boosted.

Hard to say, probably a bad seal - looking at the springs, it looks like someone already replaced the springs/seals/seats so a bad or incorrectly seated seal would be my guess.

There were some batches of Ultralights that were prone to breaking.
But given there is other damage, it would seem that something else failed and that caused the rocker to break
If the rocker had just broken on its own, there wouldnt have been the other damage.
