Congrats on the swap! Hope both you and Joe end up happy with the results!
Sami, haven't you seen Street Outlaws? Everyone is going turbo now I think turbo is the only way to go if setup properly and want big power. It's just a tough fit in 'vette engine bays.

thanks bud, i hope we both end up happy in the end aswel. its definitely not an easy feat doing a trade with both parties being so far away from each other but so far we are are on the right path, maybe we will have 2 running cars with 2 happy owners before winter hits.

what are you going to do with the blower kit?
I'm a turbo guy but would like to try blowers so I can be more objective about pros and cons
I have a M3 procharger I might throw on a big block to try it out!!

Shouldn't be long before you can start your build stealthfrc. Hope you are up for a challenge. Much patience is needed for the install.
Best of luck with the build. I'll be tech support for the install.

my car doesn't have alot of parts stock cars do so im hoping it wont be a terrible install. the ls2 pan seems to help alot, probably the reason i had the 1 7/8 headers off in 5 minutes.
yea i hope to be able to enjoy them this year, hopfully i can fight thru the install.

Thanks, can't wait to get the kit and start the Install I'm actually looking forward to it.
Going to miss the look of a nice shinny blower under the hood lol

did some test fitting. passenger side fits like a glove and i can also reuse my dipstick without any mods. plenty of clearance to frame and cradle. driverside needs slight mods, small cut to motor mount (like any other tti kit). i will also most likely need to move my fuel reg or try and make some kind of heat shield. i ordered a bunch of heat stuff along with 2 turbo blankets that from the looks of the test fits may fit without an issue.
still a long ways to go but atleast i was able to get an idea of fitment.

well blower kit is on its way to its new home....
got the oil pan off for drilling. so much work to take it out and realize people have done the drilling with it in the car but id rather be safe then sorry, im not big into cutting corners.
its been a royal pain in the *** find parts and tools to complete this build. ive had to go to multiple stores along with ordering tools from online such as the 45/64 drill bit, seems those are gold.... also the 1/2npt tap... i also had to make my own crank pulley installer, the one from the parts store wouldn't work so i pick up a piece of threaded rod from a local shop (another piece made of gold) must of found the only one in CT luckily..
one question i do have and ill make another thread on it... i purchased a new oil pan gasket just to be safe and in order to get the old one off it looks like it is riveted in place? do i just drill those out and replace it with the new gasket? do i have to rivet the new one in place? keep in mind i have a ls2 pan....

Nice progress. I'm shocked you didn't need to clearance anything around the compressor housings and cradle. I know I did, even with the 58mm's.
Don't know if you have Harbor Freight there but they have a cheap 1/2" NPT tap set. Can't remember what bit I used to drill the holes, maybe a unibit. I don't recall having to source a special bit.
I've never seen a gasket riveted like that. I'd say just drill out and no need to re-rivet.
