Default Mysterious Leak Under Boost

So I posted a few weeks back that I thought I had oil leaking from my procharger. I have a 2002 z06. I would up getting the seals all re done and have been driving the car fine for a couple weeks. I have only gotten it to like 7psi because I was afraid to push it because whenever I went passed 7psi I would get the oil all over the engine bay.

So today I said I gotta try it and got up to 9psi and when I parked I had the oil all over again. The oil is on the belt, pullys and procharger.

Since all the seals are brand new I am wondering if it isnt procharger oil but since it gets on the belt it gets everywhere.

Since this problem started happening I now have smoke coming out of the catch can.

At full boost I never use to see smoke now I can see it if I am hitting it hard and stop at a light I can see it coming out from under the hood.

Could engine oil be leaking from somewhere and getting on the belt to throw it all over?

When I hit it hard today I glanced in the rear view mirror and had a lot of smoke coming out of the exhaust.

I am stumped. Any help or ideas would be great. Thanks

There's uv dye you can put in the engine oil to make sure it's that.

Also I don't use the procharger dipstick. I been using one of those breathers. So should t the procharger not have that much pressure to cause the leak? Maybe the breather is clogged.

Is your vapor system routed correctly and with one way valves as needed?

You're getting oil or some substance up front... Which could be several things. But to also be blowing it out the rear.... Let's hope you're only pressurized the crank case somehow and it isn't a gasket or piston ring issue.

The vapor system is the same as it has always been. I know the 02 z06 is different than regular c5's. I have one hose coming out from under the intake bridge and another one from the passenger head going to a T with that end going into breathable catch can.

I just took the procharger off and there is no oil in the output like there was last time but the whole thing is covered in black oil. The procharger oil is greenish clear color but could be just from mixing with the dust in the engine bay. Im going to post a few pics.

Just looking at these pics tell me if I'm wrong but that picture of the whole back you can see the outline where the tensioner arm is. That makes me think the oil is coming from the engine and shooting at the procharger. What do u think

Never mind. I'm wrong. I'm looking at it the wrong way. The bracket is on front of the engine so def not coming from there.

I guess oil is shooting out the procharger into the intake.

Bingo. I was going to ask if the oil in the tube was from the prior install. If the impeller is clean as you wrote early on, then yeah it's passing down into the pipe. And that explains the cloud out your exhaust too.

I wonder where the seal failure is to cause this.

Look at it this way: nothing at the front of that engine will ever rust. The oil / dust skin is impermeable.

Yeah I'm fed up with this head unit and I don't know enough about them to fix it and I'm sick of spending money on it. Prob gonna just suck it up and buy a D1 or something else that will work with all my plumbing.

Just clean it all and drive it to see where the oil is coming from.

If you're struggling, throwing some talcum powder or similar around potential leak areas can help

Intake bridge after the procharger? Sounds you are putting positive pressure into your crank case. I'm no expert on the pvc, but I think you need to relook at it. You need a check valve to avoid boosting the crank case.

I had a similar issue after changing a few items. Oil was coming out of seals on motor. Changed a few things and put a check valve in place All been good since.

What head unit is that? Is it a self contained unit or oil fed?

Smoke out of the catch can and oil pushing out of the engine is NOT good - how is the car running otherwise?

How many miles on the combo?

It's a P1SC1. Self contained. No clue how many miles. Car has 75k. Ran amazing when I wouldn't push it 100%. For like two weeks After i got the seals redone I drove it a lot and would get it to like 7 psi and it ran like a beast. It's only when I get on it all the way and boost gets to 9psi is when the oil starts to shoot out of the procharger and gets on belt and pulleys. I can tell when it happens because after that it will only get to 4psi because of the greasy belt.

Did you end up buying the D1 that was in the F/S section?

I found my kit on F/B, but I also made sure he was on the forum so I would not get screwed
he was a long time forum member. Be careful on F/B
