Default 150 Shot on top of H/C?

How safe is a TNT 150 Shot on top of ARE Stage II H/C with stock bottom-end; but with a Racetronix inline fuel pump upgrade? Will the stock bottom-end hold up to 570 RWHP and 600+ RWTQ?

Thanks.

Been running it for about five months now and on stock fuel pump. Several others here as well.

See sig for dyno numbers.

Wow, those are pretty good #s on stock pump, but you also have a NX kit. Isn't TNT 150 shot more like a 175 RWHP shot? The 100 shot gave me 115 RWHP gain.

So, as long as I upgrade fuel, the stock bottom-end should be OK?

I'm not even sure it's necessary to replace the pump, but your mileage may vary. Your bottom end will also vary as well, but I believe if you take a few basic precautions like retarding your timing and making sure you run sufficient octane fuel to avoid preignition, then it may be okay. But you have to pay to play usually, a TNT 150 shot is quite a bit.

Thanks for the info. Anyone else have experience with the 150 shot? Please chime in.

It depends on how often you spray, but eventually the piston's ring will be the first to go...

Don't ask me how I know.

I originally started with the 100 shot, then went to the 150. I did have some problems with the fuel delivery on the stock pump...so for saftely sakes I dropped it back down to the 100. I think running N20 ocasionally the bottom is goo for up to 600RWHP. It you are going through more then one bottle per month then I would not go above the 100 shot JMO.

Nitro, did you run that 11.2 on the 150 shot? My car would probably make similar power to yours on the 150 shot.

Yeah...but that's not a good gage of the performance of the car. I don't take dragging to serious, I just like to have fun....and to be honest I'm not the greatest 1/4 driver, nor do I aspire to be. If I lose a race I just get out of the car and that usually shuts them up pretty quick ;)

Case and point last week running the 1/8 at a small track near by...now this is funny. I always beleived in the theory run what ya brung. Pulled up the line running 38lbs. PSI in BFG G-Force tires! Smoked em almost the whole way

first run:
60ft. 2.5sec.
1/8m 9.2
MPH 85

Last run:
60ft. 2.2
1/8m 8.7
MPH 92

This was without the N2O engaged! I just went out to have some fun.

I did up to a 225 shot on on top of my heads/cam with the stock fuel pump.
No problems.

Just retard your timing a little and get good fuel.

Tuan, you got it!!!
Iron block to come soon.

But I did up top 300 shots on my heads/cam car so the engine will have to handle much more than that.

I´m in progress to build a 3 stage 400+ shot.

Ya know I want them 8´s.
Just not sure how long the tranny will hold, but for now it does great.......we´ll see next season.

Michael,

You're still using the nozzles, right? Same here, but instead of using two NX Shark nozzles, I got a new NX SX2 nozzle. I might get another SX2 nozzle for the second stage.

It's so funny when you ask around and everyone swears up and down that you definitely need to go to direct port for more than 150shot. But I doubt that most of these guys ever been to 150 yet.   I guess we'll find out what's the limit on these nozzles.

I'd worry more about the trans holding up to it, than the bottom end. There are plenty of cars in the forum that put out some serious hp/torque, that still use the stock bottom end.
