Got a few more pics of all the work and everything installed back in. The nose was trimmed underneath and even though the cut is not straight it is trued up with the sheet metal work. Also shows some of the sheet metal work on the driver's side for the oil cooler, new air dam and sealing things up to make sure the air goes where we want it and not just the least path of resistance.

A couple suspension and driveline pics from when I stopped by the shop today. The coilovers and control arms look great!

I am not sure. PM him and I am sure he will tell you or help you get some. They are pretty awesome. Hopefully they will help keep the wheel square and planted to put the power down.

Looking good. Drove mine today for the first time to put some miles on the new clutch. Coolant temps were in the 190's for me. Was thinking about adding a couple of dams/deflectors but I'll wait for now.

Ya 190s doesn't seem to bad but here in dallas it was only in the high 60s. I would guess Houston was about the same. Waiting till temps warm is probably the way to go. You might not have any problems and be fine. I had read threads where guys do have heat issues and so when Bret started talking about moving stuff around and shrouds to really control the air flow, I said lets do it. The car was already at his shop and taken apart. Just seemed like the right time to do it.

He will get you taken care. He put these control arms on my car and Eric's car. He might send some more pics if you need them. I did not realize the joints were not seen in the pictures. My wife doesn't like the car and stays out of everything involved with it lol.

How much power does it take to bend the factory arms?

Way more than I am going to make I am sure! The arms themselves don't bend but the bushings flex and move when you have traction and power. This lets the wheel move and mess up the toe of alignment and hurts traction. I also needed the control arms to center wheel in the wheel well due to swapping the c6z tr6060 setup in.

I had these arms built but they don’t fit 15” wheels so I’m designing and building a new set. Once that’s done, ill
be offering them for C5’s and C6’s. They will eliminate a lot of issues like the inability to zero out the wheel camber and plant the tire flat on the ground. They won’t allow for any deflection under acceleration, which causes the wheels to toe out and murders traction. I believe solving that one issue alone will net someone making 900+ to the tires, 2-3mph in the 1/2mi.
I feel that the C5 cradle puts the wheels too far forward and the C6 puts it too far rearward in many cases. The arms will also allow you to choose the centerpoint of your wheels.

I am also planning on designing a C5 cradle mod that allows you to use the C5 cradle with C6 drivetrain parts using the stock C6 differential mounts.

Bret doing work! Nice having good people developing new parts and ways to do things.

Bret has definitely done his part to keep innovation alive for these aging C5 cars.

So over the 14 years I have owned the car I managed to damage the passenger side rocker panel. Bret saw the damage and offered to fix. Not much doesn't do lol. A couple pics of things mostly taped off, fiber glassed, sanded and painted.
