Default My build thread, everything from the timing cover to the rear end being replaced

I have had my car since 2004 and its been through several builds. This is the first build thread I have done though. The old setup was a 408 with a 200 shot and for a short time the F1r. On the 200 shot it made 705 rwhp and 735 rtrq. On the F1r it made 887 rwhp. Time to change things up see what it will do.

The new setup is a Dart SHP block built by MVP'SZ06(Mike) with a Dart center weighted crank, Wiseco boostline rods, Wisceco pistons, cam spec'd out by Blownbluez06(Bret) and Mast 305s. The blower setup is a A&A f1r kit with a 10 rib setup and their Innovators West crank pulley. The fuel system is 3 pumps with a Blownbluez06 setup of two 450's mounted in the tank and a upgraded pump in the stock location, bosch 127lb injectors, Alky Control dual nozzle meth and will be on E85. The c5z driveline is being replaced by a 2012 c6z setup. The install is being performed by Blownbluez06.

The bottom end is completed and all I have pics of so far. The car is going to Blownbluezo6 soon and I will add more pics.

Thanks and I hope so. Bret has definitely made me think of things I never knew and how things work.

Got an update and making progress. Had to take the crank out and have a second key cut in it. Got the cam installed and degreed in.

Also picked up some valve covers that are being reworked. They were red with black letters. They are being smoothed, the letters are being polished and the rest is being powder coated gloss black. The ls7 intake is being painted gloss black. The throttle body is being polished. It should all look pretty good when done. Here is a couple pics of Bret's initial work.

I do not know. Blownbluez06 is doing the work on my car. It might be a kit he sells or he can tell. Just shoot him a pm.

The rods are a new rod wiseco came out with. They are supposed to be lighter than h-beam and stronger than I beam. They are heavier than I beam though. As far as engine management I am on stock computer for now. Eventually I will do an aftermarket computer but its just not in the budget atm.

More parts came in. I am really like the valve covers and Brett said the pictures don't do them justice.
