Default LS 9 flexplate and converter

I have a shot at a LS 9. Unfortunately they have a 9 bolt crank flange. Any you racers know of anyone that's adapted the standard flex-plate to the 9 bolt flange. I's like to put an automatic behind a LS 9 in my C 5.

It should be an 8 bolt pattern. I used a flexplate from a C7. I have a forged LSA crank in my 5.3 and the C7 flexplate bolted right up. The flexplate is a direct fit on C5.

Here is a direct quote from an article describing the LS 9

"Lightweight Rotating Assembly with Titanium Connecting Rods: Within the LS9’s cylinder block spins a balanced, dropped-forged micro-alloy steel crankshaft with a nine-bolt flange to mount the flywheel. Titanium connecting rods mate the crank with the pistons, for the ultimate combination of strength and light weight. The titanium rods weigh roughly 25 percent less than conventional iron or steel. They reduce pressure on both the rod-end bearings and main bearings, and allow the bearings to be optimally sized for the least amount of friction."

I may be misunderstanding something.

I guess I was thinking LSA vs LS9. They're both 6.2L. Sorry.

BTR has a flexplate listed for the LS9 made by TCI. Maybe call BTR and see if they can shed some light on what you may need.
