Default Novi 2200r, novi 2500 and ysi

Does you guys know what is the difference between those!

I thought the YSI and 2200r are same head unit just a difference of the gear cover which is billet in the 2200r,

In paxton website there is no 2200r or x there is 2500 are they the same !

YSi is made by vortech, 2200R is made by paxton. 2200R has a billet gear case but other than that the specs are identical. 1,200hp capacity, 1,600 cfm, 30 psi, ysi says 66,000 rpm and 2200r says 65,000 rpm.

The YSI and Novi 2200r are the same blowers. 2200r has a billet case. Both blowers can be bought with a billet wheel which is good for another 1-2psi.

The Novi 2500 was somewhat as a flop. Rated at 2000cfm, but didn't yield gains over the YSI/2200. It's a YSI with a bigger volute. It's a discontinued blower so you won't find one. It also doesn't fit on any bracket besides the Novi 2000 bracket. I've had all the blowers.

Basically, you can interchange any Vortech/Paxton Blower on C5/6 brackets except for the 2500/2000. I just sold a car with a brand new Novi 2000 I bought for the new owner when my Novi 2500 ate itself up. The Novi 2000 is still being produced and not going anywhere. It's a bit more potent than the 1400cfm rating. 950rwhp can be done with this blower.

If you have a used kit, stay with what bracket you have. If new, then you'll get a universal Bracket from ECS/A&A except for the Novi 2000/2500. The Novi 2000 is the go to, proven blower I'd go for a mid 150's car. YSI/2200 for more. YSI doesn't like to be underspun.

i have a 4" pulley on mine under spinning it at 46.9k which would be 71% of its maximum rated limit. It makes a bit over 600 to the wheel on my stock ls6 at 10 psi
