Wow, last post was over 18 months ago. It's amazing how time flies.

I'll post a quick update as there have been some changes and I'll try to add some pics eventually because they always help. As I look back, probably less than 10% of the pics for the last 1.5 yrs are vette related. I've been doing life and hopefully it's been the same for anyone following this build.

Quick Progress List
  • Purchased Holley Terminator X and Digital Dash
  • Made a decision to begin the 15 inch rear conversion
  • Sold 2 sets of wheels that I didn't need or hadn't been using
  • Purchased 1st new set of wheels for the car [RC Components drag pack]
  • New 220V circuit for A/C
  • Installed a mini-split A/C system in the garage
  • Opened slots in rear cradle to allow clearance for mid-plate install
  • Cut out rear storage compartment
  • Fabricated and installed mid-plate
  • Began 15 inch drag spindle conversion
  • 2nd 220V circuit for welding machine
  • Purchased new welding machine
  • Wilwood Brake Kit
  • Butler Trailer for track events
  • Removed factory fuel tanks
  • New Brushless Fuel Pump
  • New Fuel Cell
  • Began removing factory engine harness
  • Test fit of rear fuel cell
  • Accessorized garage with additional lighting, air line hose kit, air hose reel, and retractable electric reel
  • Currently sorting through brake/wheel fitment issues

that looks awesome. those slicks wobble around pretty bad when they get into tire shake make sure you allow a bit for that

I had a buddy run 201 in the flying mile. Downforce pushed the back down and smoked the slicks at the top of the sidewall. Almost wore through the sidewall at 201 which would be a bad day at the office

he did get his maxton mile 201 jacket though!!!

not that i remember. them 28"?
my only concern would be noted above... just making sure they don't rub when they grow due to heat & speed.

They do seem tucked in more then you normally see with stock suspension.

what’s the wheel width/Bs/offset?

Somewhere on CF I posted pics of my 28 on 15” wheels just like you pic here and iirc, they did stick out a little more.

It won't be making enough power to have violent tire shake. Also, total suspension travel vs clearance to top of fender has been checked and there is enough clearance.

Yes, at speed the 28" x 10.5" slick will get taller and narrower. There is enough room to not worry about height and with available side clearance the tire sidewall getting narrower will be even better.

Do you have any pics? Typical 15 X 10s with 7.5 BS stick out about 3/8 of an inch. This is a 15 X 11 from RC Comp and has at least 1/2 an inch of clearance between the side wall and the fender.

keep note of that tab in the rear too, think it's for the fender liner or something, based on the fitment, looks like you have a C6 cradle. my 28 rubbed in the back

Default What a relief lol

I was following this build a long time ago and really impressed with what you’ve done. Last year I was hoping you didn’t give up since there were no updates haha. I was set on doing a rear mount but seeing yours again makes me want to rethink having to use a scavenge pump and everything. Badass build and sounds great. I’m in Houston as well. Get this thing done so I can see it out on the streets in person lol

I think it's time for an Annual Update of this amazing build.
