Lol, yes once you get a feel for fabbing this stuff there's always the desire to create something new. The hot side for a setup like this is fairly easy especially if you use factory style manifolds.

Thanks. Yes, Plazmaman LS Pro-Series. It was cut for an LS7 in C6 corvette. It appears to fit a C5 too. I'll know for sure this weekend.

Batwing pan is actually a way better design, it just gets in the way so most ditch it.

Good eye. It's a cnc billet valley cover that comes with the plazmaman intake. As TTBlue mentioned, the batwing pan is a good design and it wasn't in my way so I kept it.

I like the pan and it has worked well for me. I didn't install the trap door kit from improved racing but from what I hear it doesn't help a whole lot. I think the best solution is to probably extend the pick up tube to the back of the pan or go with a dry sump.

I'm not looking to set any records with the car so I think this setup will suffice on the track.

I noticed the wing in the 1st pic, figured it wasn't inhibiting anything or you just can't make an LS stand on a dolly (fastest dolly in Texas) with a C6 pan!!

Glad to see progress being made.

I see there's another option for pistons on the market to compete with Wiesco..

It was nice and I was able to take advantage of it.

Engine installed on Friday! The cradle will be coming back out for cleaning and balancer installation after the front plate is mocked up and installed.

Saturday I worked on getting the fuel rail height figured out. The intake and rails were originally set up for an LS2 height injector I think. This would put the rear fitting into the firewall and I just don't like the look of the rails sitting high.
