Tom,

What's the bottle for between the power steering and brake fluid reservoirs?

I hope Vortech did their engineering and testing up front. It will be interesting to see if the early Vortech kits have a bunch of problems like the ATI kit.

And how on earth do those belts line up? The cog is in the plase of where the rebbed belt runs.

also, why is it a grand more than a procharger???

I'll need to get a better look at that bottle to determine what it is.

This kit comes with everything that you will need including the programming so you won't have to worry about getting that done elsewhere. Pricing is in the same range as the ATI kit. ATI's D-1SC is cheaper but doesn't come with injectors or programming. That would add about $900. to their package. One of the forum members has been testing this kit on his Z06 and is very happy with it.

What's the bottle for between the power steering and brake fluid reservoirs?
That "bottle" looks like the filler for the aftercooler, I have the same small reservoir on my PTC kit.

Why do you need a filler for the aftercooler, I thought they were using an air to air aftercooler? Are you talking about water injection? Or does Vortech use an air to water aftercooler with a second air to water cooler to cool the water?

The Vortech kits use and air to water aftercooler. I'm working on seeing if there are any solid dyno numbers yet.

Here is a picture of the finish product.

Channel Islands, CA (October 15, 2002)-Vortech Engineering, LLC, the premier developer of aftermarket supercharging systems and performance enhancing components, announces the introduction of the 2002 Corvette Z06 supercharging system. Available now for immediate delivery!

This aftercooled system will increase horsepower and torque from 405/400 stock to 538/483 supercharged.

Vortech uses the V-2 SC-Trim supercharger with the Super Quiet gears, for nearly silent operation of the supercharger under idle and full throttle applications. The Z06 supercharging systems comes with everything you need to bolt it on, including high capacity replacement fuel injectors, hi flow fuel pump assembly with wiring harness, a secondary cog drive system and more. A handheld ECM re-programmer is included with the kit to enable fuel and timing curve changes and to make operation hassle free. Installation time runs around 16-24 hours.

These kits should start shipping VERY soon.

I'll post a pic of the kit contents if I get one. The line ties into the oil pan. Vortech usually includes a tool to tap into the pan with.

We haven't done a C5 Vortech kit yet so I can't say what the exact install time will be. A rough idea on the cost installed would be -

4GR218-010SQ
2002 Z06 Vortech supercharger satin finish
$7199.99

4GR218-018SQ
2002 Z06 Vortech supercharger polished
$7599.99

Pricing will be a little cheaper if your one of the first 5 orders that come in.
