Default Good cam for a Maggie?

I'm thinking about adding an intercooled maggie 112 to my set-up. My cam is 222/226 .600 on a 112. Heads are cnc'ed 243s with 1 3/4 long tubes. 6M with a 3:90 gear. I realize a centri will make more power but it's a street toy and low-end grunt more important than peak hp at the top of top of the rpm range. Right now hp peaks about 6,300-6,400 rpm.
Thoughts? Thanks!

Yes the Maggie will make better low end but don't be fooled by the low end of a centi. It will make 1st and 2nd useless just like a Maggie lol.

Maggies like small cams. When I owned a Maggie, I tried a few cams and the smallest of them all made the best power overall.

Well that's good news - I would consider my cam small. Thanks, Bret.

Hey Bret,

Seems like most blower cams have a much wider LSA then my 112. Is 112 too narrow?

I ran a low LSA cam like you have but with a lot more duration and therefore overlap.

Just to give you an idea of what cam did the best, it was a 208/230 121 LSA and centerline.

The LS9 camshaft is 211/230 @.050 valve lift and .558/.552 lift with 1.7 rockers and a 122.5 centerline.
