Default C5Z RHS 454 on E85 and Nitrous dyno results

I recently installed a nitrous setup on my C5Z and after some street hits to make sure everything was working I threw it on the dyno and dialed it in a bit. Since I spend every day on the dyno at work, I just stayed late one night and threw my car on after hours.

The setup is:

RHS 454 (~11.5:1 CR)
Trick Flow 245 heads
Comp cam of some sort (still haven't tracked down the cam specs)
Fast 102
LS2 throttle body
American Racing 1 7/8" headers to 3" to cutouts
60# injectors
Nitrous Outlet plate & solenoids
NOS Mini controller
Pump E85 fuel

I first did an N/A pull to make sure everything was still healthy. That resulted in 607whp/559wtq. Perfect, time to spray it. I didn't have a full bottle with me, but there was a good amount left in it. The goal was to spray a 100 shot and to be able to keep the torque hit controllable and the power onset smooth to keep traction on the street as that is where the car spends nearly all of its time, running 18" 335 NT555R's currently.

After a few pulls it seemed happiest at 694whp/672wtq on the 100 shot pills, with an awesome power curve.

I then decided to throw the 150 jets in it since the bottle wasn't empty yet, dialed the timing back a few degrees to 21* peak for starters and made a pull. That resulted in 725whp/708wtq. Threw a couple degrees at it and made another hit. It made about 20 ft/lbs more, but then power started dropping off hard and made 719whp up top. I made a few changes and tried again and watched the bottle pressure fall off and make 626whp lol, the bottle was empty. Here is the one clean pull I got on the 150 jets dialed back, overlaid with the N/A and 100 shot pull.

I plan to mainly use the 100 jets so I wasn't too concerned about dialing in the 150 jets for a power number. I went out a couple weeks ago on the 100 jets and ran a buddy's 717whp Paxton 5.0 and a stock C7Z and was very happy with the outcomes! That's all I have really got to play around with so far.

An old picture of the car on the dyno last time.

Thanks for looking!

Thanks man! It is quite a bit of fun on the bottle. It woke it up a good bit and gave it the extra little fun factor to hold me over for now until I put the TTiX kit on. N/A its fun in the first 2 gears and then its just kind of...meh, but on the bottle it keeps pulling pretty good! Working on high hp cars all the time makes this whole speed addiction thing pretty bad when it comes to my own cars

I know what you mean. My car was a 408 that made 470 on motor and then I had a 200 shot and made 705. I got the point where I wanted more power and I just did not want to spend the money on a direct port and keep dealing with bottles so I went with a procharger. The same 408 made 887 with a f1r and then broke. Currently doing a new build. I will be keeping the f1r for now but will eventually do a f1x eventually. There is a build thread about my car also.

Awesome man. Like the poster above me, I can't see the pictures but sounds like stout setup. I just added a DRY kit to my C6z and made some pretty good power on a 50 shot. Plan to move to a 100 shot soon.

Yep so you know exactly what I'm going through now haha. Sounds like a beast of a setup though man. I'm gonna head on over to your build thread and check it out. I love looking through that type of stuff and seeing things kind of from start to finish.

Thanks man! It seems to be pretty effective on the street. It has a lot of power under the curve and also hooks really well so its pretty usable.

As for the pics I had to google "photobucket fix" and then follow the steps, took about 30 seconds but now I can view everyones photobucket links. Next time I will use a different hosting site though!

Sounds like fun man. Those dry setups can really be effective when setup correctly. I did the same thing, started with a 50 shot just to make sure everything was working correctly, and then stepped up to the 100 shot before putting it on the dyno.

Sounds nice. I can't see pics, you can just post direct on here now without using a third party site.

Tuned the 100 shot this weekend. It made 737whp and 700wtq @ ~900psi bottle pressure!

On the 50 shot, it picked up another 30whp with higher bottle pressure. When we originally tuned it, I didnt have a gauge or heater so we didn't know what the pressure was at.

This is gonna get expensive, LOL. Ran through a 10lb bottle pretty much on just the dyno and 5-6 street hits.

I'll go through them and upload them directly to the site! I didn't know that was an option.

Damn thats solid man! Those are really good gains for a nice simple yet effective setup. I had my bottle pressure around 900psi or so for the runs. I was kind of hoping to see slightly larger gains on the 100 shot, and maybe I could with more bottle pressure. But knowing that with average pressure that is realistic for me to run on the day to day and having 700whp on tap makes me happy enough! It puts in work on the street and thats all I can ask for!

I updated the pics in the OP so everyone should be able to see them now.

Also, here are a few pics of the install in the engine bay. Made a couple brackets to place the solenoids in convenient locations so the install could look decently clean. I got the kit used so I had to get creative with my mounting locations, but I think it turned out pretty well.

What type of fuel system did you run on the car?

Some of it was done previously, and I haven't had the pump out to confirm but supposedly its an older in tank A1000 pump setup. It also has -6an feed and return lines, rails, aeromotive FPR, and 60# injectors.
