Picking up the car tomorrow, I was told can't dyno until clutch break-in period, it does have a tune but just to cruise in the meantime, shortblock is stock ls1 with blower cam and 799 heads. The minimum we expecting should be around 600rwhp Mustang dyno with 4.25" pulley. I'm way over the limit already, I will keep this post updated.

Previous mustang dyno as N/A result 409 rwhp / 394 tq

Here are the result, when driving around like under 3k rpm the car feels slow compared to how it was before without procharger, I missed spinning tires at every corner under normal conditions. But when I step on the gas the car respond very quickly and really start it kicks in after 3k rpm. I haven't pass the 70 MPH yet, it just came out of the dyno.

CURRENT MODS NOW

well how many races are you in that are at or under 3k rpm?... spinning tires is no good in a race so appreciate the traction... it looks pretty solid though... how much boost did it make with that pulley?

this is the dyno result before the procharger with same mods

the car now goes out of control if I step the gas after 3K but still have stock c5 rims and tires

no idea, I don't have gauges, less than 8-9 I guess

i'm curious to what intake mods changed from the N/A setup, to make it feel slower under 3k. my guess is you didn't have the Fast 102 before? the butt dyno is more sensitive to low end torque. could be a runner length "issue" that makes it feel that way, the cam spec doesn't appear that aggressive

No intake change at all, other than the vararam to procharger, always had the fast 102mm intake, is not that is slow because as you can see from the N/A dyno with the procharger shows more power at low end but when you driving around you can feel the low end torque is missing while cruising

For example, is like a ported throttle body, it doesn't give you horsepower but become more responsive while driving around, maybe my pulley is to big or going from stock to twin disc clutch makes any difference as it was upgraded at the same time. ProCharger dyno sheet was tune in another dyno by different tuner using HP tune.

Saying this, I do have to confirmed the car pulls hard very quickly to the point that I can't watch the speedometer anymore like before, can't take my eyes away from the road.

maybe the tune was softened up on the low end since you're on a stock block?

interesting, It's probably irrelevant, but my OCD is curious of what mechanical change happened, that's all. especially since it's a centrifugal car.
my next guess the procharger and intercooler is more restrictive than the vararam, robbing the intake velocity, until the boost comes in. good point on the tune also, can throw some timing back in under 3k to get some extra torque down there.

tune was softened up on the low end
this can be a possibility as they want my engine to last

mechanical change
none

procharger and intercooler is more restrictive
if I step the gas on low end the car goes aggressively wild, if there is any resctriction it should not react like this ? there is no lag

robbing the intake velocity, until the boost comes in
this can be a possibility too, I asked and they told me because under 3k rpm there is no boost

throw some timing back in under 3k to get some extra torque down there
this make totally sense, I should ask the tuner exactly what he knows as this tuner comes in scheduled appointments only, he's not full time in the workshop

I put a ysi trim on stock ls6 with a huge pulley on making about the same power. It feels more sluggish idle->2.5k. I just thought the sc was robbing hp/torque

Is the new cam just trading off low-RPM performance for higher-RPM performance?

How long are the runners in the new intake manifold? If they're shorter that could also shift the powerband up.

That said, those dyno charts show about 320 ft-lb at 3000 RPM before the supercharger, and 450 @ 3000 with the supercharger. Are you sure it's really gotten weaker? Or is your butt-dyno just getting confused by how much MORE torque you have now from 3000 to 5500 RPM?
