'04 Fuel Pump Upgrade
I'm going to ask this in here because I figured the FI guys are more likely to have some insight into this topic.
I have a 2004 C5 that needs a new fuel level sensor. Because I'm going to have to drop the fuel tanks to replace the sensor, I figure now is a good time to upgrade the in-tank pump (currently stock pump with 150,000 miles). My current goal is around 425rwhp and as such I envisioned something similar to a Walbro 255 but wanted to ask for input from others before I go buying parts. Even if I don't upgrade the pump, I'm going to replace it with a new unit for insurance. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Chris

My pump is all hacked up with a Walbro 450. Im just going to replace it with one of these and be done with it. Yes, there are probably more options, this is just what Im gonna do. Ill be right around 600whp with meth and boost a pump after a few more mods, currently at 500. My car is a 2004 also.

From my readings and observations, those C6Z pumps are hit and miss, some die within months of use. Same probably with oem replacement C5 pumps. I've had new pumps be DOA straight out of the box. Does anyone have experience with the aeromotive set up?
