Default Rear mount alky reservoir

Looking for suggestions on a rear mount alky reservoir for my dual meth kit. I want to get the fuel out of the engine compartment. I've been told this is a potential fire hazard.

You're probably not going to find any C5 specific options. I posted it to show what others are doing in similar situations.

Sooo your worried about safety and you want to move the meth tank from the engine compartment where there is a firewall between you and the meth to inside the passenger compartment?
What could go wrong with that???

The tank under the hood is meant to hold windshield washer fluid. Guess what windshield fluid is! Meth and water. So the OEM tank is meant to be alcohol resistant and is under the hood and away from the passenger compartment. Personally, I would want meth away from me and in the engine compartment as opposed to in the rear of the interior where it could rupture and spray the interior. It burns with an almost invisible flame so keep it outside of the interior of the car. Just my .02.

I think that there is far more risk of something bad happening with fuel in a make shift vented window washer tank near a hot engine than in a purpose built fuel cell in the back of the car.

I'd keep it under the hood unless you want to wear a firesuit when you're in the car. A burnt out motor bay costs a lot less than an ICU burn unit stay.

I mean, only run 50/50 or more water % and it shouldn't burn right? That would be safer I would think. But if you are going to use 100% methanol, yeah I agree it adds an element of danger that wasn't behind you before.

I just purchased the tank below. Fit fine in the driver's rear compartment.

I have that exact tank which I purchased last year. It is brand new, never installed. I also have some high end tubing to run from the trunk to the engine bay which is braided. If you're looking for that tank, I'll sell mine for $200. I'll have to check in the garage what the tubing was but I remember it being about $80 worth and intended to not corrode with meth. If you want both, I'll do $250 plus shipping. I'm in CT.

Thats the one I have as well. It is installed with the line running up the rocker panel to the alky control pump in the front fender well.

Did you put a switch on yours?

Switch? I'm using a solenoid and a driver from alky control to open it if thats what your asking. Also the low level sensor.
