C5 Z06 ECS Kit Novi 1500 Looking for 800 WHP + what’s next?
Hey there,
Brand new to the forum
I have a 2003 Z06 with
Texas Speed Headers
ECS 1500 Kit (polished)
Billyboat Exhaust
McLeod RST 800 HP Clutch
10 PSI
591 RWHP 534 RWTQ
Thats it
Car has 85,000 miles on it
What are the next steps to getting myself to 800 WHP?
Just testing the waters here. Fuel system and forged internals plus more boost? What do y’all think

You are going to need a fuel system most likely, meth if you are not e85, a cam, injectors, a direct drive setup would be to help fight belt slip, smaller pulley for max rpm on the blower and maybe heads.

take the restrictor out if you still have it, more boost (smaller pulley), secondary drive with overdrive balancer, and a fuel system... you can either do 93 and meth or e85... there are plenty of good e85 stations around the area so if you aren't driving it a ton or doing road trips then it would be a good option... talk to Bret and he can get your tanks setup with twin walbro 450s... stock heads/intake/throttle body will make 800+ so you don't really need to mess with those in my opinion

so let’s say restrictor plate out, E85 swap with new fuel system installed.
What you reckon that runs a common man

My car is a stock crank forged rod/piston 347. Ported 243 heads, jam cam, ls6 intake, dual nozzle meth, YSi with 8 rib direct drive. At 15 psi the car made 798 on a loaded mustang dyno, tuned fairly conservatively on 93.

For the Forged rods/pistons, and ported heads what did that cost? This would be my goal if I can afford it.

Though people make more than 800 WHP on stock bottom end endignes, it’s never a bad idea to put some better components in the block. The whole idea is that the parts are a bit more forgiving. (Obviously being indestructible isn’t a reality; but the bottom line is that the harsh environment associated with making more cylinder pressure is going to be there. The better components coupled with sound building practices will help ensure your best change of reliability and engine survival.
As for thd cosf, the entry level forged components aren’t as bad as one might think. Let me know if you would like a quote.
Very Respectfully,
