Default Help FP issue

Look for some assistance. I have a 98 C5 with a novi2000. 9-10 psi. I am getting a dyno tune and the AFRs are raising at 6k rpm. AFR12.0, measuring 540rwhp. I have a racetronix pump with a BAP. Everything I find says this set up should support 600rwhp for a FI setup. Stock rails and lines, 80lbs injectors. What am I missing? Where should I be looking? Any advance is appreciated. Thanks

Fuel pump could be going bad, it is a 20 year old car now. When was the fuel filter last changed? Are you still using the stock regulator or aftermarket?

+1 on the filter, that has given me issues in the past.

You mentioned racetronixs pump, are you also running the hotwire kit? I assume so with the BAP - if not, you'll want/need that.

I don't recall if the Racetronix harness has a ground strap, but if it's not already there, you need to make sure you put a short, 10ga ground strap between one of the bolts on the fuel hat and the frame. If you have any deficit in the grounding, this provides a secondary path since the pump should also be grounded to the hat from inside too.

If my memory is correct the ractronix harness does have a ground wire near the fuel hat but it may only be 12-14AWG. I also second the hotwire harness, easy to install and help combat voltage drop at the pump.

you will always see a drop in fuel pressure with this system. its pretty proportional to injector duty. did you measure fp and how?
