Need shocks for 800rwhp
Looking at options for shocks. I wanted to wait until winter but I blew a shock on the dyno. Id like to stay budget friendly meaning I dont want to blow 2k. Im looking at just replacing the rear for right now. Im not looking for all out drag shocks, but id like some shocks that would help put the power down from a roll.
Im leaning towards some Vikings.
Its a 01Z its a manual.

you can get the viking coilovers for less than $2k, Bret is a dealer for them as well so I'm sure he could get a good price... I haven't used them personally but he installed them on another c5 recently and said they were really nice... my lg gt2's have done well for me and they were also less than $2k... but if you don't want to go the coilover route you could probably just get some stock oem shocks for now

My car is the one Bret put the Vikings on. The ride is nice but I have not done any power pulls yet. Hopefully with them and the other suspension upgrades, I will put the power down.

Good to know. I'm going the viking route this fall. Have to go budget right now. Deciding on what Bilstein shocks to go with. Might do the c6z shocks but I'm ready they are not the best handling bumps.

I see... I couldn't imagine having a car like that and not opening it up but not having the tune done makes sense, it isn't worth the risk

I got into it till around 5000 rpm and its was very interesting. I cant wait to start really having fun with it. Damn Bret for being so busy!

they handle bumps very well. no difference to stock. no idea how they handle 800 hp, though.
