That wasn't very nice But the truth for sure I am getting a forged motor for the c7 it will be around the 800 rwhp. I told my self wasn't doing nothing to the c7 well that was wrong. After about a week in the c7 it was like driving a VW bug. So off I went on this one also.. Robert

I have to be pretty bored to pop my head in here anymore. I do every now and then though. Not much going on in the R8 forum.

The place isn't the same without you. We had some good times, but life moves on. I've noticed it seems like most of the 10 and 15 year members are less active and usually have sold their vettes by this point or gone to something with much less power.

Yup. I don't visit here anymore but Turbo-Geist alerted me to this. Have a 09 CTS-V now making maybe 700rwhp and not breaking every weekend. Don't miss the C5. Sure as hell won't ever visit this site again without an ad blocker. My condolences to the web host. Clearly has cancer.

Even as a vendor I do not come on here much anymore, definitely not what it used to be, but that's life.

I did get the bug to get my vert back out though, engine is back from the machine shop and I'm working on a new rear suspension.

I recently saw your car on the No Fly Zone Facebook page with rear fender flares now. Which ones did you get? Did you widen your rims to 13”? What kind of power are you making and what was your 1/2 speed? I still look on here from time to time. Still have my cars. Trying to hit 170mph in the 1/2 mile with my power level. So far I’ve hit 169mph. Bent a push rod this year. I think it’s time to get new valve springs on the car cause it’s overboosting on the high setting.

I still look on here, not the same, Facebook groups have become popular, but I am finding a lot of younger guys buying these now, as they are cheap, and they like to buy already modded, again “ economics” !

I'm not an old-timer (I'm one of those young guys who bought a cheap car) but I have an old-timer twin turbo kit: TTI Stage 2. Wonder if anyone recognizes the bright blue intake pipes and knows whose car it came off of...

I was racing everyone else' car and still do so I didn't really have the drive I guess. Had two kids, business going crazy, life gets in the way. I was burnt out too, we raced so much back then with our Corvette challenge and other races for 15+ years almost every weekend that I just needed a break from it. Kids are 9 & 12 and starting to get a life of their own, the business (hopefully) will never slow down so I have to just do it regardless. New shop is making it easier too, things are moving along much better.

Spoke to an ol' friend 4DRUSH today too, it's time we both come out of racing retirement.

That would be great. Like to see his car do some more wheelies. lol My c5 is a lifer. I have so much time and money into it, it would be worthless to get rid of it. I'll probably be trolling this site until its gone. The only reason if my c5 ends up in the scarp yard is if there are no more electronics to keep it running. Seems like parts are getting scarce.
