Default Knock Sensors in a Gen IV question

If im going to re use my LS6 valley cover on my Gen IV block, do i have to relocate the knock sensors to the side of the engine or is it okay to leave them in the valley cover?

I don't think you can reuse your LS6 valley cover, the Gen IV valley cover has the oil pressure sender port built in.

You have to use a gen4 valley plate. You can use your stock knock sensors in the side of the block with an adapter/extension harness

Yeah I did some reading yesterday and people had used the LS6 valley cover on gen3 iron but not gen4, I ordered a GM valley cover that has the DoD orings already built into it and stuff for like $40 last night. Way easier than retrofitting everything and I’ll just pull PCV from the valve covers and call it a day.
