Default BLOWNBLUEZ06 Built - 2004 Supercharged Commemorative Edition(z16) Corvette z06

Just wanted to give thanks to Blownbluez06 for helping me put together and tuning the perfect combo for this car.
I had a good idea of what I wanted and he helped me finalize everything down to every nut and bolt, including purchasing the A&A kit from him for my car.
He was very knowledgeable and was always willing to help and got the car done in a very timely manner.
The car turned out better than I could have imagined and drives like a dream.
If anyone is thinking about going supercharged, shoot him a message first.
Originally, I was shooting for 600rwhp, but the car ended up making 768/655 on 12lbs of boost with 93 octane alone.

Mods:
A&A Black Ti Trim v3 supercharger kit(4.0 pulley)

Innovator’s West 10% overdrive pulley
Corsa Xtreme Exhaust w/4” pro series tips
GM LS7 Clutch kit

Beautiful car and great numbers on 93 alone.

What made you go for the 10% OD pulley vs just running a stock size pulley with smaller blower pulley? 8 rib?

The bigger lower pulley increases boost without making the upper pulley smaller. This increases belt wrap on both pullies and less slip. I don't know why he did it but that's why I did it.

I didn't think slip was really a big issue on the latest kits with the Si and Ti blowers and no need to drive them past 52k rpm. Just curious on the reasoning for going this route in this case.

I love commemorative Z's! 768 on 93 has me a bit concerned though.

A few reasons...
1). More surface area around the larger crankshaft pulley, which equates to less likelihood of belt slip
2). More surface area around the larger supercharger pulley, which equates to less likelihood of belt slip
3). Increase in speed of the water pump and alternator pullies when at idle

Car is still a 6 rib but has zero belt slip.
Last I checked on the calculator rpm speed was around 50k.

I have trust in Bret and will let him comment on that.

Thanks, so it sounds like you were just playing it safe then, which is never a bad thing. I need to swap my crank balancer for my upcoming install and considering all options...

edit: I can't seem to find the IW 6-rib 10% OD pulley, do you have a part #?

Yes, I originally was just going to go with a stock size(7.5”) Summit balancer but Bret talked me into going with a 8” OD pulley for the reasons stated above. The balancer is an 8 rib but you just use the rear 6 ribs for a 6 rib setup.

I think Bret might have an extra 8 rib IW balancer that he might sell. If you’re interested, shoot him a message to see if he still has it.

Better to get an 8 rib anyway. If you ever decide to change your setup, you will not have to mess with the balancer.

Wow, seriously impressive.

I've been wanting to swap out my v3 Si for a Ti for a long time now, as I'm maxed out with the current blower (640rwhp @11.5psi 3.6 pulley, 10% overdrive, blower cam, full exhaust). I don't know how you guys made so much power on 93 using a 4.0 pulley without even using meth. Crazy. Numbers are so good it doesn't even make sense.

Is this with stock heads and 10.5:1 compression ratio? What did the car dyno N/A?

Dynojet or Mustang dyno?

Has this car made any passes at the 1/4 mile or 1/2 mile yet? How's the traction on those Hankooks?

We did not dyno it beforehand, but should have been around 420rwhp.

No it has not and probably won't ever make any passes either.
I've owned drag cars previously, but I just put this car together to enjoy.
Hankooks and traction should be in a different sentence, traction starts at around 70.

Was LS7 clutch part of the upgrade package or it was on the car already?

Isn't the LS7 clutch rated at around 450rwhp? I know they barely handle what a stock LS7 puts down.
