Default V3 Ti trim w/ 3.8” pulley and 10% OD

Hi everyone,

i have my A&A kit I’ll be installing on my 03z with V3 to trim head unit, 3.8” pulley and 10%OD dampener. I’ll be doing e85. What boost levels should I expect?

other mods: 1 3/4 headers and no cats, small cam (228/232) with .598/.586 lift 114, ferrea dual beehive valve springs

thanks

I saw 11-12 psi with my stock balancer and a 3.6 pulley which should be roughly the same blower RPM you’ll be spinning

For anyone curious that may be running a similar setup, the car made 10psi with a rich tune. End numbers were 715rwhp and 632tq

Any belt slip issues with the setup? Are you running on a secondary drive?

There was minimal belt slip on the dyno around 6200 rpms... I was able to tighten the tensioner about 1/2” further and the slip was resolved. I have the secondary drive IW balancer, but no secondary drive yet

Cool, Thanks. I'm looking into a similar setup. Whats your setup for fuel on e85? That's the last piece of the puzzle for me. I want to run flex fuel with a p59 pcm. Not sure where I will mount the FF sensor due to my car being returnless.

I went straight e85 with A&A’s dual external fuel pump setup. This setup includes a return to install

You're a gentleman and a scholar. Happy with the performance of the fuel system? I was actually looking at that setup today. Seems legit.

Haha, thanks! Yes, the fuel system has been great for the limited time I have had to drive... only about 4 hours behind the wheel since getting tuned. The dual pump system came highly recommended from my tuner who likes A&A stuff. I don’t have my wideband installed yet, but haven’t noticed any drop in performance since picking up. Install was straight forward. This is my first e85 system, but all seems well!

Good luck with the build!!!

Yes. My tuner has it tuned rich and said he has done it before with great results... I know I am on the edge of destruction, but have plans to rebuild in the near future. I do hope that I am rebuilding because I want versus need to

Im also on my stock bottom end with 700+rwhp so was curious. I went racing 1/2 mile and 1/4 mile in 90 degree weather all day a few weeks ago and was able to drive home all in one piece so I’m right there with ya .... prepared to build a forged bottom if/when needed but I hope I don’t need to for years.

if you're going to do flex fuel it would be a good idea to build a boost referenced return style system and put the sensor in the return line so it doesn't become a restriction in the feed line

Glad to hear I’m not alone in the “don’t go” territory!!! And also very glad to hear that your car is doing events in that weather and being nice to you! We will have to stay in touch and let each other know what comes of our builds!

take care man and great luck with the car! It’s alotta fun
