It's a Dutchman irs that was solid mounted in the correct location . Then measured for correct axle length and drive shaft . Called up the driveshaft shop and they made the half shafts and d/s. The car has 10 point cage welded to the frame so I am not worried about the body structure without the torque tube. Will see how it works at the track maybe in March . I have done some trans brake burn outs and highway pulls all seem solid. I did switch from a Detroit locker to a spool. The rear was shifting when the locker was locking up and it didn't feel safe. Spool is definitely the way to go.

i was looking at that Dutchman unit, but I was concerned about the mounting points on it. Hell, the ONLY real reason I want to go SRA is so I can have a 9" that won't cost eleventy million

The Dutchman piece is nice. There are several manufacturers that make an IRS 9” housing now. Some Aluminium. Some fabricated. Lots of options now.
