CXRacing Single Turbo "Street Car"
My old thread kind of got lost and a lot has changed since the last post I made so I figured it was time to start a new one. The car will be seeing lots of track duty and a couple of trips on public roads per year so according to an accredited "Corvette Historian" my car is a street car since it's not a tube chassis, ***** to the wall "racecar." The goals for my build are 9 second 1/4 mile passes and 800-900whp on E85 but I'll also be running some 1/2 mile events once I get all the testing and shakedown completed.
Motor is a forged LS2 done by Mike Van Paris at the Race Engine Shop using K1 Rods, Wiseco Pistons and AFR 205 Heads. I've recently switched the CX Racing C6 hot side and I'll be fabricating my own up-is-downpipe, cold side piping, radiator/intercooler mounts and I'm sending my drivers fuel tank to Brett to have dual Walboro 450's installed in the next few weeks. The entire setup is run by a Haltech Elite 2500, Dual Wideband controller, I/O12 Expansion Module and a Fore Innovations FC3 to power the pumps. Setup will be tuned by Brett while I learn the ropes.
The plan is to get her up and running by spring time, compete over the summer and then either paint or wrap the entire car next winter.
Thoughts, criticisms, and suggestions are welcomed.

Build threads are always enjoyable. Looking forward to your "numbers", i.e., time slips from the quarter mile and speed slips from the half mile.

Will FIC 127’s supply enough E85 towards upper end of your HP goal ? I’ve got a large frontmount treadstone innercooler on my car from when it was on 93. Had I built my car from scratch for E85, chances are I wouldn’t use an innercooler. My innercooler blocks a tremendous amount of cool fresh air from my radiator and under the hood. I got my temps under control now but initially they were higher than I liked. I’d ask Brett what he thinks about ditching the innercooler on E85...

Cross beam is completely hollowed out, IC support bar is welded straight to the frame rails. Radiator support is just like the IC support but is welded to 4”x1/4” steel plates that are bolted to the OEM rad cradle locations, radiator is sitting in RSM radiator mounts clamped to 1 1/4” DOM.
Dual spal 10” fans with a fully enclosed shroud.
Catch cans. PCV can from the valley cover to the intake and a draft can off both valve covers
Wilwood prop valve and bracket, just needed a slight bend to clear the inner fender. May replace the front line to clean it up but as of right now it fits and seals so Im not terribly concerned.

Gotcha . It’s really close to the way mine is set up. I’ve got the biggest aftermarket radiator that would fit side to side and it’s mounted straight up & down. I also cut into my crash bar to mount my innercooler in a similar fashion. Also, I’ve got the twin spal fans which move an incredible amount of air. Additionally, I built an air deflector under the front bumper to direct air in front of the radiator. All together it cools pretty well. Naturally all the hot parts are wrapped and I’ve got a turbo blanket. The only reason I asked about the injectors is because I’ve got FIC 142’s running around 80% at only 700 RWHP on E85. Base Fp set at 58lbs.

Thanks for the offer but at this point I just need to get it running with what I’ve got and go enjoy it. The car has been down for over 2 years because I keep upgrading the same stuff over and over again as the goal moves higher and higher.
