Default Eforce LS2 Supercharger build on a 2002 Z06

Currently putting together a 2002 Z06 with 38k Miles. I have already upgraded the clutch, fuel and exhaust as well as a few other mods.
The car is in great shape. I will be running it on low boost as the engine is stock.
Sneak Peek: anyone who cant see the pictures try downloading the "Photobucket Hotlink Fix" extension for Chrome browser.

Induction:
Edelbrock Eforce Pro Tuner Kit #1595 (no pulley, injectors etc.)
LS2+ 90mm Throttle body and Caspers adapter harness
3.875 Pulley

Exhaust:
Kooks 1 7/8 Long Tube Headers to High Flow Catted X Pipe
Stock Z06 Titanium mufflers

Accessory drive:
Upgraded Power Steering / Alt bracket 04 style
ATI Performance Dampener stock size
Pinned crank
ARP Crank Bolt

Drivetrain:
Spec Stage 3+ Single disc clutch (EDIT I WOULD RECOMMEND A DIFFERENT CLUTCH / Too touchy. My 8 year old S3+ is not like the new ones.
New 04 Slave cylinder
Remote Slave Bleeder Hindson

Fuel:
AEM 320 LPH Gutted Bucket to Bracket
Racetronix Hotwire Harness upgrade
Deatchwerks 60lb EV6 Injectors (shorty)
EV6 to EV1 Harness adapters

Conversion kit:
Lingenfelter Eforce C5 kit

Engine:
LS3 Water pump (to fit the Eforce tensioner / idler brackets)
Hypertech 160* thermostat
LS3 radiator hoses
ATI Race Dampener (stock size)
Modified LS1 Valley Cover to flush knock sensor harness and countersunk bolts
NGK plugs
Hindson Engine Lowering Mounts

So far the build is going great. I have the clutch installed with the stock machined flywheel, new pilot bearing, and new throw out bearing. I did the rear main seal as well while it was apart. I am shooting for a tame 500hp on this one on low boost for now.

Results: 500RWHP and tame as stock. If you dont pop the hood or mash the gas you would never know it was supercharged.

Cool build. What are you planning to do with the hood?

I just did a test fit. Unfortunately Edelbrock sent me the blower sealed up with metal shavings so Its gonna have to sit a while until they send me another. With the hood insulation removed it can be shut but it contacts the blower in 2 locations without the throttle body. Need to go back to the garage and see how the tb fits. The supercharger hits the middle spar as well as an inch on the rearward spar. I looked at the torque tube and its sitting about 1/2" up from the torque tube cover with the included slightly thicker Lingenfelter cradle spacers. I have seen lowering mounts that could potentially drop it another 1/4". If I commit to cutting the stock hood It may be possible. If not I am prepared to get a taller hood if needed. I really like the "High Rise" as it keeps the factory hood lines that I am a fan of.

Nice build. I always wondered why edelbrock did not make this kit for the c5. should be nice. your car will be nice when completed. I like fact that your are modding the car but not making it a frankentein on wheels with a grab bag of parts and ugly race modifications like some others here on this forum like to do. You should have a nice street car when done.

Interesting. I looked at PD blower options for the C5 a while back but the requirement of an aftermarket hood was a deal breaker. You looking at the Hinson engine mounts? Their website says the current version is .300" shorter.

I wouldn't blame you for just going with an aftermarket hood, but if you manage to fit this under a stock hood, even with a little cutting, you would be a hero

I think I will try them out. I should have the clearance to fit them. Its so close! Stock hood would make for a killer quiet sleeper!

Just got the front accessories on. Latest update can be seen here: The throttle body seems to fit. Lingenfelter used their custom C5 Style DBW throttle body that seems to have a larger external dimensions vs an LS2 up 90mm. I dont think it will be a problem. Heres a picture with the throttle body installed

and update video. Its a long one:

Subscribed to your videos, I am enjoying this series! I was considering doing a similar project in a year or two, so very curious how this ends up.

talk to Funcool about how he fit his under the stock hood.
i originally looked at the Hinson mounts before deciding on the AMT set... until i was made aware of the clearance issues lower mounts can cause without counter-intuitive or expensive extra mods.
and you tell yourself that you'll be happy with 500 just give it a few months until you get used to how it drives & start getting bored. i started at 480 on my LS1 & that lasted a whole 9 months. 540 tided me over for 6yrs on account of other cash priorities. expecting mid-600s when i get it back soon. it really is a sickness.

Just buy a raised hood, makes it a lot easier.

so with those shorter engine mounts, from what AMT told me, i'd make sure to check your oil pan to front spring clearance when it's done (if you ain't got coil-overs), and also verify the steering rack ain't too close to the balancer (they recommend an underdrive, which don't help on blower cars... especially non-jackshaft ones).
if those clearances are still good, awesome!

When I installed the Hinson shorty mounts and C6 oil pan my pan was basically resting on the spring when the car was on jack stands which made me nervous enough to go to coilovers but I never really checked clearance with the wheels on the ground.

I had the same thing with the short Hinson mounts and the car on jack stands. On the ground, plenty of room.

I really like the short Hinson mounts. I’ve put them in 2 of my 3 vetted and a stock size in the 3rd. They hold up very well.

I’ll have a set of the short ones for sale here soon, as I’m going to a motor plate setup.

The problem I found is when you lower the engine, when you won’t more boost with a bigger crank pulley 8 or 8.5 size the belt won’t slip on the crank. This was happening with 8 and 10 rip set up

As Pete said, once the car is on the ground and the spring has tension on it again, there is plenty of clearance. When the car is off the ground, the spring is compressed upwards in the middle. Once on the ground, it bows down.
