How many times can you pin a crank?
Well, I think I'm on pin 3. Pulling the cover off to hopefully fix a leak. The last pin was with an IW balancer. Is there any chance I can realign it? Also, if I use the correct tools to align the cover, can the existing holes leak? I've got a brand spanking new OEM cover, seals, alignment tool, I dont want a leak. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I want to fix the leak.

you should be able to realign it and use the existing pin hole that way you don't have to drill another one

Get a piece of drill rod that fits your pin hole about 4-5 inches long. Use that as a guide to start and align the balancer onto the snout. Then switch over to your installer tool. I can't ever see a reason to keep drilling new pin holes.
