Pulling apart the front of the motor to fix a leaking timing cover. I dont know whether it's good or bad that I don't need A&A instructions or timing cover removal write up anymore to take it apart. Gotta make sure I do it right this time. I am happy to see that my Mighty Mouse catch can is doing its job. That is all. Break time over.

been there before, I took the opportunity to upgrade the balancer so all the work felt justified

I upgraded to an Innovators West balancer, then it started leaking. I used an alignment tool too. I think I messed up when I thought a thin layer of RTV wouldn't hurt along the bottom of the cover gasket. Gonna remove that, new seal, new OEM cover (because the lip that the seal rests against is broken off, peace of mind).

So I have a Matco 3 jaw puller which I obviously cant use. Should I shell out some money for a good puller or will a cheap harbor freight one be ok for something that I'm not going to use that often? I dont wanna mess up my balancer.

I bought an astro puller from amazon for about $60 that will pull off innovators balancers, I've used it a handful of times so in my opinion it's worth it if you work on your own stuff and like to have tools
