Advice 408ci W/ F1-A
Hey Guys,
So my current set-up is a LQ9 based 408ci. LSA Heads (ported out), Stock LS3 intake/TB and an F1-A on Meth and E85 (and everything else to support that) Current #'s are 1006/961, but i am losing a bunch of top end power from what I think is a blower restriction. Car makes about 13lbs of boost (I'm at 6000ft elevation BTW) and pulls great up to about 5600rpm. After that, its starting to nose off and dip the power. Its on a 3.8 pulley (could be a 3.7, not near the Vette right now) with a 10% over driven IW crank. Anyone else have a similar setup or care to comment before i go to a F1-A-94 R/X. We (tuner and I) think that the blower is maxed, but i called pro-charger and they say that the setup should support 1100 wheel. This is thru a RPM T56 as well FWIW with a 3.42 rear end ratio
Do you think the intake/TB could be the culprit for that? Think its just maxed on flow? Blower over spinning on that set-up? Another thought is the size of the motor is choking the blower
Thanks.

You gotta be losing upwards of 20% up there (-/+3% per 1000'), so if that 1000hp you made is at the rear wheels, that's fuggin impressive man! Sick car.

Redline is at 6.5k. Won’t make power past 5.6k. Depends on the size of the motor and power goals for you really. I’m happy with the power just hate giving up 1k rpm in the powerband.

Melting Slicks
FWIW, I see 1 psi for every 1000' of DA. I would double check the valve train just in case but you are more than likely out of blower.

Can you share any more pics of the car? It’s a sweet looking ride.
