Turn on the headlights and back off one position to kill the lights.
Unscrew the 3 small screws on the black plastic housing around the headlight. Gently pull the housing clear. Reach down around the headlight unit and release the bulb holder. It unscrews counter clockwise but it has a plastic clip which you need to squeeze to release it. Change the bulb. Reseat the bulb holder and turn until it clicks back in place. Put the plastic housing back in place making sure to locate the small plastic tab in the bracket on the headlamp cover. Replace the 3 screws and close the lights.
10 minute job.

ok...i did what you said...
um...how small are your hands???
mine are small and i cant even begin to get mine in anywhere there...
let alone my arm even if i could get my hand in there...
what am i missing here???
also...what is the bulb? is it 1157?
also...is it clear or amber???
Mine went out yesterday and I need to change it this morning. What a PITA it is IMO. You think GM could have designed am easier way to access that bulb.
Some people also remove the hood bumper next to the light to provide more room. Mark the thread first so you can re-install it.
An alternate approach with small hands is to push your hand into the air hole below the light. Push the vent pipe back and down out of the way. Twist your hand up and you can get to the bulb socket.
The official way is to remove a panel to get access to it. I think it's at the lower edge of the wheel well behind the light.
Either way, do not touch the new bulbs with your bare hands/fingers. The oils in your skin will cause the bulb to fail quicker. Use a surgical glove.
I just did this, just unscrew the hood adj and mark it then reach in and swap it out I have big hands and arms and it took me less than 5 mins super easy!!
if and when you get in there check the top of the housing for a hole. Sometimes the heat of the DRL melts a hole in the top of the housing, that let's moisture in and can mean that you'll be back in there changing bulbs soon...
