As the subject states, I installed my new painted coolant tanks this weekend and I need to top off the Dex-cool coolant. I just can't seem to find it. Do I need to go to GM or am I just missing it in plain site?
It's usually printed in a smaller font size on the jugs, I've found. The mfr's print their brand in big letters and then the compatible type, e.g. Dexcool, Chrysler, etc. in a smaller font elsewhere on the container so look closely.

Reason: addition
Prestone is selling an anti-freeze that they say is compatible with the red or green. I saw it in an auto supply shop, no idea what colour it is.
Wonder if they are going to stop producing the red.
Just a thought.

!! Two parts stores in my area have dropped Dex and are only carrying this new stuff. I complained but they didn't seem to care, just kept saying this would work OK and not to worry. Guess I will have to find a new parts store huh.
