Default LG headers or DYNOMAXX???

I am in the market for headers and dont know which way to go.I would like to get in on corvette garages gp on dynomax but want the header with the most torque not just HP. The LGM headers with 3 inch collectors look good. They both claim most torque.please give an opinion.

This may be true, but is also true of the fellows at Corvette Garage.

The question of LG or Supermaxx headers has been beaten to death harder than any debate I have seen on the CF. You will almost get a 50/50 vote on this.
I personally have Kooks. But if I were to do it all over again I would go with LG simply due to the proven system and the fact that Lou "The Founder" is on this forum and you can speak to him any time you want. Obviously you will spend more money with LG. So if money is not a problem and you want the personalized service then I would go with LG.

If you go around asking who makes the most power you will spend your summer just sifting through all the that everyone is gonna stir up.

BTW, LG makes the most power to...
But the Supermaxx system is very good as well.

I love my Dynatech header system. But, there's quite a bit of evidence that Lou's LGM Longtubes produce better hp/tq gains. At the time I bought my headers the LGM Longtubes did'nt come with bungs for the stock rear 02 sensors, Dynatech's did. Dynatechs are a beautiful, very high quality header system, and so are Lou's!!! Dynatechs system is ALOT less expensive. Both are relatively simple to install. Longtube headers imho are a must for more serious performance in the future, as you are probably aware. If ye seek, ye shall find, your answer!

Both are very good systems and you will find forum members that have no compliants about either one. The LGs probably give you a bit more in terms of performance, but the Dynatech's are cheaper. Tough choice to make.

, with the possible exception of the Valentine 1/competitors debate... Going with LG when I get mine... After all, they're made by Borla right? Match my Stingers...

I felt the same way. I think some of this depends on if you are going to track your car and how critical HP and torque is...for me I don't really go to the track that often so if the LG's offer a bit more Torque and HP (from what I've read maybe 5-10 more HP at the most)that's not that important to me personally.. I'd prefer to save the extra 500 bucks or so and put it towards other mods. Both systems are great and have very good reviews. I went with the Dynatechs as you can probably tell since I started/requested the GP on them

good luck on your decision. I will tell you the GP price is awesome and you'll save some very good money

However, I sure would like to see a side-by-side comparison between the LGs and the Dynatechs now that LG has moved their cats upstream of the X-pipe, the same as everyone else, for emissions compliance. Bet they're a lot closer in performance now.

Yea, me too!!! My guess would be that there's not much differance! With the GP's awesome price as stated above, If I were looking for headers, I'd probably do the Dynatechs, (again)! They are COMPLETE and very high quality.

Yea, that's what I thought..........

I would think the only way to get the real answer you'd want on this is to hear from people who have had BOTH systems on their C5.

I'll bet there are very few if any of those people around.

I've owned both systems. Most people get caught up in peak numbers but what they don't understand is that LG headers make more power and much more torque under the curve. That is something you can feel.
