Default Z06 wheel question

I've got 2 sets of factory Z06 wheels. One set came on my 03' and the other set came off of an 01'. I'm going to sell one set and was wondering if one set would be better than the other. I heard that the early Z06 wheels were differant, are they? If so, how can you tell?

Thanks,
Dave

The '01 wheels are forged, while the '02+ are cast; and, visually, the spokes are sharper-edged and slightly narrower on the '01's. I think that the '01's are much better looking wheels.

Hi Here is a recent thread on another board that I could get a link to for you -

http://www.z06vette.com/forums/showt...highlight=mqqn

There are many threads since past here, but I was not able to find one in searching.

If I were keeping just one set, I would keep the 01's personally.

They only made those for 1 year...

best regards -

The later wheels, are lighter in weight. keep them.

They will have finger sized indentions in the backs of the spokes.

Thanks for all the info, now I just have to decide which ones to keep and which ones to sell.

Thanks,
Dave
