I graduated in 72 and remember the badest rims I ever saw was on a 69 Chevelle SS396, they were Crager SS mags. Do they possibly still make these and possibly for a C5 offset?
Rob
I loved those too. Had a '98 Mustang GT and tried to find some Cragar SS for it...no dice. They aren't made to accomodate disc brakes. Cragar went through some company turmoil too, and the name has been bought out by another company. I seem to remember that they've revived the SS and updated them for modern cars, but I don't think they look quite the same. The closest you can get are American Racing wheels, Torq Thrust IIs I think. These look more like the wheels on the Bullitt Mustang. Pretty close, but not exact.

I don't know if they still make the classic style. I do remember a few years back, they came out with a retro style. Try summitracing.com, that the last place I saw them. Good luck
You'll have to do a little research to see what wheels in particular you are looking for, but contrary to what other posts say, they still manufacture Cragar SS wheels. Have them on my Mustang.

Loved the old Cragar S/S wheels. Had them on several of my cars way back when. Cragar does make a nice looking set of wheels for the C5, just not in the old S/S style that I know of.

I think that our modern offsets don't work (I really mean "look") too well on the SS's. Half of the good looks back then were the deep dish. The only deep dishes that I see now are on cheap riced out Civics. On a side note, I wonder how long their wheel bearings last like that.
The answer is simple! "Yes" I still like them! I am still partial to the torque thrust d's, or the later torque thrust II. Look at these as well!
From a little poking around last nite, it seems that to get Torq Thrust II's, you'll need to special order them. None of the Cragar's I saw were in wheel sizes above 17".

I had a '66 GTO while in college in the mid 60's and loathed the Cragars!! Unfortunately all I could afford at the time was a set of imitations. Cragers were the gold standard of the 60's!!
